Habitat for Humanity

Fundraising

Habitat is always in need of people who are interested in fundraising.  It can be as simple as collecting aluminum cans, or as involved as organizing a silent auction or gala.  If you're interested in organizing a big event, please contact Habitat's Development Office at (828) 328-4663 x309.

Below are some ideas to get you started.

  • Sell 'shares' of a house--a 2x4 for $5, a box of nails for $15, etc.
  • Host a spaghetti dinner or pancake supper.
  • Organize a change drive at a local school or church.
  • Build a playhouse or shed and auction it off.
  • Have local artists build/decorate birdhouses to sell at a silent auction.
  • Have your business sponsor a house.
