Family Services Volunteers

We are always looking for volunteers to work with our families.  Volunteers are needed to serve as family partners, or to serve on the Family Resource Committee.

Family partners work one-one-one with a homebuyer family to help encourage them throughout the homeownership process.  Usually this requires evening or weekend hours, as most of our homeowners work during the daytime.  Responsibilities may include budgeting, tracking sweat equity hours, or simply serving as a 'cheerleader' to encourage them on the journey to homeownership.

The Family Resource Committee meets monthly and advises Habitat on various issues facing current homeowners.

If you are interested in volunteering with families, please   e-mail or call the Volunteer Coordinator at (828) 328-4663 x.309.
