Americorps Members

Americorps members spend a year of their lives in service to America.   Similar to the Peace Corps, members serve in locations throughout the U.S.

For nearly 10 years, Habitat for Humanity of Catawba Valley has benefited from the hard work and dedication of these talented people.

Currently we have Americorps members serving as Construction Crew Leaders and assisting with Family Selection & Support.

Interested in becoming a member at our affiliate? Typically, the service year begins in mid- to late August, and ends in mid-July of the following year.  Americorps provides a modest living allowance, and Habitat provides housing for all its members.  Recruiting and interviewing usually goes from February through May.  Occasionally, half-year positions starting in January may be available.
